We’ve used Wordtracker on and off for keyword discovery for years but I recently had a client that wanted to setup an account of his own. That’s fine and Dandy. Generally we are pretty open to clients taking an active role in their online marketing. After all there is only so much we can know about their industry and anything they can contribute is helpful.

The real reason I’m making this post is because sometimes I feel self conscious about being unable to illustrate to clients why it is important to hire a professional SEO.  Coincidentally, I was having trouble making that point to this particular client some weeks earlier. But Wordtracker did it for me. After signing him up I received a series of emails. One a day for the duration of the 7 day trial. They are very rudimentary but touch on Keyword Discovery, SEO, Link Building and PPC. They are incredibly informative, easy to understand and at the same time illustrate how important SEO is. I suggest to all of my clients now that they watch all 7 of these videos (2-5min each), require every intern to view them on their first day and suggest to every SEO that they use videos like these (if not these exactly) to acquaint clients with the rudiments of SEO. I would love to republish them but instead I am just posting these links.
